After leaving college Philip spent three years with Gardner Merchant Ltd, a subsidiary of Trust House Forte. Initially as a management trainee working his way to Unit Manager with 53 staff and operational P&L responsibility for 3 industrial catering sites.

Sales Executive , valor group plc
Four years experience of distributor sales management of industrial food production equipment culminating in a business development role in the UK and France creating high volume catering systems, which could typically produce up to 10,000 meals per day.

National Accounts Manager, Siemens ag
Whilst still developing a career in sales and marketing this move into telecommunications provided experience in major account management and consultancy sales. After five years with Siemens in sales Philip had reached the level of National Accounts Director.

Global Sales Specialist, BT Group plc
This move provided the opportunity to develop international sales skills and proved very successful as Philip was European Salesperson of the Year for BT Global in 1999. He worked with several global companies and in particular became a specialist in outsourcing global networks within the energy and pharmaceutical sectors.

General Manager, Marketing, BT Group plc
Philip moved from Major Accounts Director role to global marketing within BT in 2000. After four years in marketing roles he moved to BT Wholesale (the network provider for communications resellers) and progressed to become a specialist in customer experience marketing, working directly with the BT board as their strategy developer.

Philip left BT early in 2008 to set up his own partnership business, The Leadout Project.
